“Serious injury” or Sam “poor me” card!

|

There were a few cynics around Upton Park this morning who were struggling to surpress a few smiles after Sam Allardyce’s comments about Mohamed Diame’s “serious injury” outburst on Tuesday evening.

The midfielder was stretchered off after going to earth in the final three minutes and the manager came before the cameras to tell us he had a really serious injury.

There’s a chance he may be right of course but not many we spoke to were taken it too seriously.

One told us: “Sam really is playing the ‘poor me’ card on injuries at the moment. It didn’t look that serious did it?

“He came before the cameras very quickly so I’m not sure how he could have made that diagnosis as quickly as he did.

“We can actually do without all the doom and gloom before we are sure and at the moment no one is .”
