West Ham are still pushing to sign Noussair Mazraoui, according to Sky Sports Germany transfer expert Florian Plettenberg.

The Bavarian journalist was the man who broke the news about Mohammed Kudus‘ contract clause and is believed to know Tim Steidten.

Plettenberg has now claimed that West Ham have held talks with Bayern Munich within the last few hours with a view to signing the former Ajax man. The defender is also being chased by Manchester United, who are looking to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka first.

Speaking on his social media account, Plettenberg wrote: “More West Ham talks with FC Bayern in the last hours. Bayern are more than willing to sell the 26-year-old. Bayern now demand at least €20m. No agreement with West Ham yet. Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui want him. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the top alternative.

Mazraoui is keen to play in the Premier League next season. He’s also on the list of Man Utd, as revealed.”

For the transfer of Mazraoui to Manchester United to proceed, Wan-Bissaka, who has a year left on his contract, would have to depart first. The right back, signed from Crystal Palace for £50m in 2019, would cost a fee of around £15m, although reports from Old Trafford suggest West Ham could pay as little as £10m.

Are we really serious about anybody unless Sullivan can get them on the cheap. Its worrying that the transfers ain’t happening & we are linked with so many playèrs do we know who we really want?

Why would there be any serious negotiations when Mazraoul, fee £20-£25m and wages £130,000 totally shadow other two options.
He maybe able to play right and left back. Costings don’t add up.
Wan-Biissaka plays right back, transfer fee £10m, wages £100,000.
KWP plays right and left back, transfer fee £15m, wages to be confirmed.
Let him go to Man Utd, sign one or other of remaining options and move on to other needed players
Stop messing around with out of budget players.

I would rather have AWB, he is a great defender with PL history.

    Or the Keiren Dyer one

    AKA the Freddie Ljungberg suite

Wan Bissaka for £10m would be a brilliant deal though.

  • Ian says:

Anyone think that we’re just sniffing around this lad at Bayern Munich just to force ManU to accept less for Wan Bissaka? I’m probably overthinking it 😁
