Sheri loves Lee goal instinct

|

leeElliot Lee looks set to get chances to impress this season – perhaps even starting in the Capital One 2nd round clash against Sheffield United.

ClaretandHugh understands that new attacking coach Teddy Sheringham – having taken a close-up look at the lad in the match against Sampdoria – very much  likes what he sees.

We understands that during a dug-out in conversation during the game  Sheri likened the player’s goal instinct to Michael Owen.

It’s important to stress that he was not making any general comparison between the pair’s overall game merely Elliot’s instinct once in front of the goal.

We were told: “Teddy was impressed and that’s what he said. It’s quite a compliment and augurs well for the lad this season.”
