Evidently confirming what we surmised earlier, West Ham are hell-bent on recruiting a new goal keeper this winter. Whether it be simply that as a former goal keeper himself, Nuno’s expert eye cannot stand what he sees day in, day out on the training ground – but the Hammers boss is determined to force through a change.

News from exWHUemployee via thewesthamway.com confirms that the Hammers are in discussions to move the unfortunate Mads Hermansen on – to north London:

“West Ham are in talks with Spurs which would see Mads Hermansen move to North London it has been exclusively reported by exWHUemployee”

Which does seem something of a shame. Th hugely likeable Dane does appear to have been thrown to the wolves by Graham Potter who chucked him in at the deep end without a pre-season as Hermansen had just recovered form surgery.

However we’d be the first to admit that his four games at the start of the season were a disaster and Hermansen, 25, probably needs a fresh start to rebuild what will no doubt become a stellar career once he’s freed from the purgatory of half a season at West Ham.

Attention now focuses on who Nuno will bring in – smart money is now on a straight swap for Tottenham’s youngster Antonin Kinsky but there’s several still on the shortlist.
