Shocking news hits Lanzini

|

Manuel Lanzini will miss ALL of next season with his knee injury and the club has learned the midfielder could be out for as long as 15 month.

Most had wiped out next season as an option for the player but according to the Mirror has now learned that can’t expect to return until around next October at the earliest – given the 15 month prediction is true.

There are some who even fear that the brilliant playmaker may be facing a career-ending injury.

The Mirror claim ‘Manu’ ‘is understood to be distraught after the full extent of the problem was outlined to his club.’

The paper claims that the Hammers have been told his injury is a ‘cruciate plus’ – which effectively means there is other ligament damage he has to overcome.

It’s the Daily Mirror for crying out loud, I wouldn’t even believe the date at the top of the page!

It is already hard to come back after a ligament injury, or after a six-seven month inactivity. Here it seems we are talking about a year and a half… I fear it will be either career ending or not reaching the same level ever again if he does come back.
