Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has joined in the media frenzy to add his comments the West Ham board while admitting he isn’t their greatest fans.
Jordan told TalkSport listeners “With respect to David Sullivan and David Gold – who aren’t on my Christmas card list – they have backed that football club, whether the people think that they’ve backed it in the way that they should, or whether they think they could do more, there will always be that argument being run by people,”
“Whether people think that they could have handled the move to the London Stadium better. Yes they probably could.”
In another talkSPORT segment on the Hammers, Jordan questioned their involvement with West Ham fans in respect to the Stadium move.
“They made themselves look silly in the past when they’ve said they’re going to spend money and they haven’t, They’ve not managed the relationship with the fans the way they should do because there was a big move to the Olympic Stadium and the fans didn’t like it and they needed to have handled it better.”
Don’t like this board at all but probably they are in front of Simon Jordon who really should keep quiet as his done zero for palace and wouldn’t wish him on anyone .
Listening to him is like watching your life pass in front of your eyes. He will never use one word when he can use ten & will never use a short word when he can use a long one. I bet he then goes home & replays all the interviews he has done just to hear the sound of his own voice again.
LOL
Because he knows what he’s doing when it comes to running a football club !!
Sean,
Were these all his comments about he Davids. I thought the piece lasted longer.?
Obviously a man to listen to given his record inthe game !!!!!!!!
I love these comments by ‘experts’ which say precisely nothing. Some people say G&S have backed the club but some say they could have done more. So which is it? Some people think they could have handled the LS move better, and they probably could. OK what should they have done differently do tell us? PS we probably know anyway but we are not going on radio to spout off. And getting paid for it-surely not? Perhaps the bits where he gives reasoned arguments were missed out, in which case my apologies.
He was a roaring success as an owner at Palace. Apart from hanging around football like a bad smell, I don’t believe he is qualified to comment.
