Sir Trevor Brooking last stand

Boleyn3

It is time to say Goodbye to the Sir Trevor Brooking stand at the Boleyn Ground as demolition continues in Green street to make way for a housing development. The East stand has vanished without a trace and now it is the turn of the Sir Trevor Brooking stand to meet the same fate.

In 1995 in the Old North Bank terrace was replaced by a new 6,000 seat, two-tier stand which was initially named the “Centenary Stand”  and was later renamed as the “Sir Trevor Brooking Stand”.

Photos from the Ex Hammers facebook group by Tony Mac the roof has now been removed from the goal end stand which also house the away supporters.

The Sir Trevor Brooking Lower row R seat 159 was my seat  as a season ticket holder for many years before we played our last game in May last year against Manchester United so the destruction has personal significance and sadness to me.
