Six and out? Slav could soon find out!

|

westham2609There is an overwhelming sense that we are waiting for the inevitable.

The sight of and sounds coming from Slaven Bilic in his post match interview following the 3-0 defeat against Southampton was about as depressing as it gets.

Prior to the match captain Mark Noble had called for what e described as “the West Ham family” to stick together. After it he was saying: ““ If I’m honest it could have been six in the end. On the bright side, I don’t think it can get any worse.”

Families do tend to have fall outs when they hit rock bottom!

Slaven said that it was all good on the training pitch but when the game came along it went to pieces but he made it clear he was taking it and would not walk away.”

He added that it was going to be very hard to turn things around and could give no positive answers on how that may be achieved.

Totally depressing and barely a flicker of hope anywhere!

The astonishing turnaround in fortunes from last season is something none of us will probably remember seeing in football before – I certainly can’t.

It’s too  easy to blame the stadium – or the move from the Boleyn – as the primary reason. These are highly paid footballers and professionals . We accept  period of readjustment but what we have seen has been totally horrendous.

Such a collective loss of form is the manager’s responsibility and the buck stops has to stop with him. It’s Middlesborough next and that is followed by the international break.

Then comes Palace and Sunderland – games this time last year to which we would have been seriously looking forward.

Defeat by Middlesborough however, is no longer unthinkable and I recall being told by one highly placed insider during Sam Allardyce’s time that it would take six straight defeats for him or any other manager to be shown the door.

Six and out? We could soon find out!

You’re slaven a laugh mate. More disgraceful anti slaven propaganda. His six game rule still apply if we are only six games into the season does it? Shocking.

No doubt that this “team” will cost Bilic his job and he is passionate about West Ham,which I feel does not apply to some of the players. There are no excuses any more,it comes down to the desire of the players. Some of the problem was the transfer programme in the summer, whoever was responsible-the owners or Slav or both.Too many midfielders, not enough defenders and signing players who are not up to Premier league standard. This said they are not likely to push the current first teamers for a place and therefore the first team know they will play evry week.I love this club and have done for over 50 years and it saddens me greatly to see the performances that they are putting in.

No Left back, no Right Back, a centre forward who does not have any aggression, (Andy Carroll knockers take note). Not really having any idea how to break down a packed defense, there we are, that’s something to start on for turning it round.
Going to take guts, determination and sweat, the talent is there, but, the spirit isn’t.

So what are your ‘sources at a high level at the club’ saying to you Hugh, any comments on the unrest rumours….explanation for Slav’s demeanor which has been ‘off’ all season compared to last term.

I think the best thing Slav can do is show the players videos of last season when every player was defending and say that is how we get out of trouble, all sport comes down to desire and momentum, if you have heart you will always be in the game at the moment our players are showing none of the desire, Slav to be fair isn’t showing much on the sidelines either and that can’t help. The whole family as Noble describes them need to shake themselves up and pull together, the backs are against the wall and hard truths need to be dished out. The whole team act like they are well within their comfort zone ad the players sitting on the sidelines can only be thinking why am I not good enough these players that are in the first 11 are failing but I can’t get a start !!! Drop Noble, Kouyate, Feghouli, Zaza, Ogbonna, Lanzini, Adrian and Payet make them work for their place because at the moment they are not showing enough, if Antonio wasn’t the only goal threat I would say drop him also because he has stopped defending. We have good enough subs that we can field a team for example Randolph, Arbeloa, Reid, Oxford, Byram, Antonio, Fernandes, Obiang, Browne, Fletcher and Martinez, they can’t be any worse than what we are playing and they have an incentive to play well, come on Slav and the whole team show some backbone, dig in and get us a result COYI !!!
