West Ham’s transfer window at last looks like ‘moving the needle’ – depending on the outcome of negotiations with Monaco. Earlier this afternoon in the know Fabrizio Romano along with journo Jacob stein berg broke the news that the hammers had bid €16m plus add-ons for Monaco;’s ‘monster’ defensive midfielder Soungoutou Magassa .

As we wrote, that initial offer was rejected but we are expecting West Ham to return.

Further reports this afternoon would suggest the Irons are pretty serious about the 21 year old France u21 international: According to sportwitness.co.uk this afternoon, the Hammers have already agreed personal terms with Magassa which will involve a six year deal:

“West Ham agree six year deal with player – €16m bid in, negotiations underway’.

The young French midfielder offers the Alvarez versatility which West Ham will miss when the Mexican’s exit is confirmed – Magassa can play as a centre back or in a more advanced midfield role.

News on that hoped-for second West Ham bid soon.. ‘probably’.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

After last night..Who wants to come…I would argue that the transfer window is upping the angst amongst the support…
Here’s the thing… For the first time since Moyes I saw real anger in the crowd last night…It won’t make him sell…My theory is the value of the club would plummet in the championship..So making it more attractive…He knows what he is doing…He knows that the pool of buyers will be larger in the championship and so promote a bidding war.

Forest now in for him so no chance of getting him.

Don’t know anything about this player, but Forest are back in fir him with a higher upfront bid with no add ons plus European football. Why we are haggling over €2m is beyond me and sums up the 🤡. Just offer tge €18m they apparently want

If Everton sign Dibling for £42m and a sell on clause then suddenly Saints valuation of Fernandez would seem more achievable to them at least.

Best we sign someone else pronto as I hope WH aren’t using these other bids in the hope Saints will sell on the cheap
