Sky Sports journo drops transfer update

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth reports that Vlad Coufal is ‘frustrated’ at West Ham, but the Hammers are hoping to keep the majority of their squad together in January.

The Czech Republic international has been subject to rotation this season, with Thilo Kehrer also regularly used as a right-back.

Coufal did play in the last two games, playing 90 minutes against both Arsenal and Brentford, but Sheth reports that he remains frustrated with his lack of minutes thus far this season.

Nevertheless, the Sky journalist states that the Hammers would rather not sell players in January, and that could well lead to Coufal staying at the club, as opposed to getting the move he may desire.

As reported by West Ham Zone, he said: “West Ham have a few injury concerns in defence and do not want to let anyone go – however, right back Vladimir Coufal is growing increasingly frustrated with his limited game time. He could be one to watch in January.”

Coufal has been with the Irons since 2020 and has made 89 appearances in total, registering a total of 12 assists, although he has, amazingly, never scored for the club.
