Is it just me or does anyone think Slaven Bilic is the second coming of John Lyall!!

I love the man and surely every other Hammers fan does to. The way he sets teams up means he susses the opposition  only after we start playing but that being said, does anyone want to go back to the way things were with Sam?

Sam did a great job but he’d hit his ceiling. If we wanted to go further we needed to employ someone with ambition. Slaven certainly has that and more besides! We need a manager that dares to dream and we have one now.

I really feel like there is one of us (a fan) on the touchline these days. I’ve never had so much confidence in a manger since Harry. He took us to an unprecedented fifth in the league in ’99 and I feel Slaven can surpass that, given time and backing.

The way we brushed Blackburn aside is what I’d expect from a top team and definitely not something you’d expect from the Irons in seasons past.

We need to start believing. Let’s be honest no team would’ve wanted to draw us next, we have so much ability now and a lot of the credit has to be given to David Sullivan and Slaven Bilic on the recruitment side of things.

Signing Dimi on a new contract now looks like a snip and we can keep our best players these days. It’s a real statement of intent.

Let’s push on. With the new stadium on the horizon, the sky’s the limit and this year could be ours. We’ve already beaten all the top teams and we will fancy our chances now in the quarters and beyond…
