Slaven Bilic has cancelled Christmas.
Given the team’s still worrying form -despite seven recent points and the fact that Yule celebrations and the Hammers don’t always sit well together – that seems a pretty good idea.
The manager revealed after the win over Hull City: “I have told my staff we’re going to have a Christmas party in January or February.
“I want to enjoy that night out and I can’t at the moment. We have a game in nine days.
“Make no mistake, seven points, two clean sheets, it was a very demanding couple of weeks for us.
“So they are going to have a couple of days off now and then we are back in business, back in training.
“There is nothing wrong with having a couple of beers at the right time, after the game, especially if it is nine days to the next one.”

If Bilic is in charge Mooro I would bet you £50 we field a weakened team and go out to City if you want ? It’s not that I don’t want us to win I just don’t expect it based on the way our team is performing and the way the manager is managing. The fact that the club are already trying to sell the tickets on the cheap for what should be a prestige game imho suggest that the manager has been told to focus solely on the league, anything else is a bonus. Miracles happen at Christmas but unless we sign Jesus on the wing or in goal, he is excellent on crosses after all I can’t see it being our good friday.

If it’s true it’s the least you can expect but it’s only in line with what other clubs will be doing, he knows we will be out of the FA cup and they can go abroad in the break so it’s no great shake, what he should be doing is whipping the players into shape so they don’t look knackered after 60 minutes.
