Slav confirms new deal on way for starman

antonio2212_726Slaven Bilic expects Michail Antonio to sign a new deal with the club “very soon.”

The Hammers wide man – and without doubt leading contender for Hammer of the Year – has been regularly linked with moves away but Bilic made it clear that the club are ready to give him the offer he deserves.

Speaking in his press conference this morning the manager made it clear to a questioner addressing the subject saying: “I’ve answered this before – last week.

“We are determined to give Mikey the contract – that’s what the chairman has told me and we will do it soon.”

Antonio is unavailable for the match against Chelsea but reported that Andy Carroll is a near certainty to be in the line up.

He said: “He is now training with us and looking ok. He’s looking good. It is entirely realistic to expect him to play on Monday. He’s a key player.”
