Slaven Bilic has burned off any doubts that Enner Valencia is fit to return at the weekend.
ClaretandHugh reported yesterday that the player was set to be in the squad for the match against Stoke.
In a hugely upbeat presser today he answered one questioner how asked how he tried to stay positive that he didn’t TRY, but that he WAS positive.
He said: “These are not long, long term injuries. Valencia is back and I hope Lanzini will be back for the Swansea game.
Dimitri Payet looks really good and has come back for treatment. His ankle is very, very stable and who knows what will happen in two or three weeks.
Some had doubted that the Ecuador international was ready to take his place in the squad two weeks earlier than expected but Slav has killed off such speculation.
