Slav faces a Payet poser

payetarmsoutManu Lanzi will definitely be part of the squad for tomorrow afternoon’s clash with Manchester City but there remain doubts surrounding Dimi Payet’s fitness.

Lanzini may feature from the start but given the manager’s care with returning players more likely as a sub with Gokhan Tore possibly the one to be subbed or dropped depending on the Bilic decision.

But CandH understands Slaven will make a decision on Payet just before kick off – although there remain doubts about the French midfielder’s involvement.

Mark Noble will return in a likely midfield involving Pedro Obiang, Cheik Kouyate, Michail Antonio and Tore or Lanzini.

Reece Burke will make way for Arthur Masuaku at left back who looks set to line up alongside Byram, Ogbonna and Reid.

The striker’s position is a real problem and it again looks likely the boss will be forced into using the so far ineffective Enner Valencia and/or Jonathon Calleri.

  1. hearing alot of rumours that the zaza deal is off. Any updates?

  2. It would hardly come as a surprise would it lol

  3. Don’t know about that one but I heard Villa are still well keen on Biggins.I hope it’s true I really don’t want to see him in our shirt again. He is starting to give me the right hump 🙂

  4. Hammers and bubbles facebook page just said Zaza is in the stadium having his picture taken. If Payet is not fit enough to play tomorrow, he’s not fit enough to join the national team. Can’t help feeling he May go before Wednesday and the powers that be don’t want him to get injured.

  5. All I have read seems to suggest he is still signing. But it only takes one rumour on Twitter or somewhere & all the anally retentive fans we have go into meltdown,p*ss their pants & start spreading the rumours 🙂

  6. I’ve got a really bad feeling about Payet …

  7. Well Juve are close to getting James Rodriguez so Real will have £60m ish burning a hole in their pockets…..

  8. I don’t have a bad feeling about Dimitri.I think he will stay with us.If there was something going on the media would be all over it with their continous transfer rumour mill.He doesn’t even make a headline or column inch this window.

  9. Maybe it is too quiet on Payet… nah it will be ok he will stay

  10. If Payet is fit enough for any minutes, he should play.
Frankly I can’t see us getting anything out of the game without Payet and Lanzini anid with the international break looming, there’s plenty of recovery time.

  11. Sewers are starting to fill up ? Lol.
If payet goes Rads will wear his designer pampers and sing stand up if if you hate the board? In stereo holding the neck of a stuffed goose on one leg ?
    In the centre circle ??

  12. If he is fit put him on first, leave Lanzini to come on if We need him or Payet gets injured or tired,
Why not start with Fletcher why risk Biggins before we sell him.
Calleri can come off the bench at any time,
Who ever he picks I will surport him 100% but please no more silly experiments
Play them where they are best or drop them

  13. I would dearly love Slav or anyone at the club to explain the logic of playing someone who is about to leave and leave two players we have on signed deals sitting on the bench.
This guy is more than capable of tripping over his bootlaces and breaking his leg, then we’d get nothing. We should pack him in cotton wool until we can drop him in Villa”s lap and pick up our cheque
The only choice Slav should be making, is whether he starts with Fletch or Calleri

  14. Who said he is starting Cannie?.How can Bilic explain something that aint happened yet?

  15. Payet hasn’t gone to manchester
