Slav gets a big boost as style returns

BilicSlaven Bilic saw the team produce precisely the kind of performance at Southampton that will see him cruise on to his third year in charge.

Everybody around the club been desperate to see the team play with the kind of panache and style  they showed throughout their last season at the Boleyn.

And as the squad finally starts to find the free flowing game that thrilled last term, Slav saw his team put a big brick in the wall with the manner of their performance on the south coast

There is now little pressure on the team as far as relegation is concerned and a top insider told us: “The Southampton performance was exactly what we were looking for and it was thrilling to see it immediately after that result against Manchester City.

“It was exciting and so enjoyable to see the lads dominating and producing such a classy display. There’a  lot more in the locker and with 40 per cent of the season left anything is possible.

“If they carry on playing like that it will have become a successful campaign. Slaven has had a lot to cope with, has come through it all and is now seeing the team coming back to its best.

As things stand right now, we are in a good place and we are expecting some more decent  performances.”

  1. Makes all t he knee jerk reactions look a bit lame don’t it?First manager to achieve 25 wins in shortest time. looks a right mug eh?

  2. He has only been given a week off 66.Lose to West Brom & he will be shredded again the following week 💩😂

  3. Sad ain’t Rads

  4. I suppose it’s all opinion, much like a holes we all have one 🙂 I don’t agree with the vast majority on Slav although I do genuinely want him to be a big success (which might sound like a contradiction). Sometimes you can fully support the club but want to see improvements, I actually wanted to see if Sam Allardyce could change his ways when he was given a platform to do so but he couldn’t, Slav will always keep us safe but is that the limit of our ambition ? Sometimes its better the devil you know of course which explains why Wenger is still in a job and I suspect Slav is more than safe for next season but personally if he doesn’t work the players harder and we continue to capitulate to the big teams I won’t change my opinion, at the very least we should be good enough for the Europa League each season but that is a very long shot this season, we are 3+ wins short of 7th with 14 games remaining, 3 of those are to the top four, we also have two matches against West Brom and Everton which if we are to get 7th we need to win, West Brom I am hopeful on but Everton who are our bogey side at the best of times will be a big push and I can’t see us winning against Chelsea, Tottenham or Arsenal but who knows if the League is still tight the North London teams might choke COYI !!!

  5. I’m intrigued to know … who thought he wasn’t on course to lead us next season … I mean there were websites running polls etc surely they should take a serious look at themselves and ask are they really fan sites or just self obsessed with themselves rather than actually looking at what is really going on … so we lost to Citeh but I’m sure I’ve just watched three wins and nine goals either side of that defeat …

    • Perhaps you should take a look at yourself and decide if you like the self important view from your high horse 🙂 ?
