Slaven Bilic claims the key to the Hammers revival has been that nobody in or around the squad “ever stopped believing.”

He told the official website: ““The two wins against Burnley and Hull were hard but they put us in a position where we could breathe a bit more and that was basically the key.

“The key was that we never stopped believing and we kept training hard and kept believing and, as we said in those hard moments, when we had those five really difficult games, we were talking about those two home games to get out of the cramp, as I called it.”

Turing to this afternoon’s thumping of Swansea he said: “It was a really good performance. From the first minute until the end we were really compact and were able to defend as a team.

“When we had the ball we were really good on it. We kept the ball well and were dangerous when we had opportunities to break on them and we were switching sides

“It was maybe our best performance this season and we totally deserved it. OK, it helps when you are winning 1-0 and you score another one, because you play with a lot more confidence than when you are losing, but it was a really good performance and I’m really pleased with the team and I congratulate all the players.”

Great performance, good to see us back at 4-2-3-1 ish.
I’m not saying use it every game, but Slav must have realised, a thing or two.The first is Antonio needs to be deployed up top somewhere, some nice interchanges between himself,Ayew and Payet. He isn’t a defender and hates playing there.
Great to see Cressa crossing the half way line again, some good forward play by him,had his best game since his injury.
Got to mention Nordveidt, strong full of running, they bought on Montero at half time a fresh pair of legs against him,but he kept it up,his best game by far. Then Fernandes came on,kept us fresh and played some great stuff, even Feghouli played well, got himself an assist.
Hope Bilic now has learnt one or two things from this all round superb performance. COYI

Great pic! 😉 The first half wasn’t the greatest and I think we scored from our only shot… thought it was gonna be a long game to hold onto the lead as we looked fragile defensively at times and were lacking ideas and still the flick ons from Carroll were going nowhere! 2nd half we looked a different team and I thought I’m gonna take a pic of Payet (he didn’t play last season’s game) as he took the corner in front of us, then swivelled the phone towards the goal – bingo! It felt like we would score every time going forward and strong together some nice passes with Payet and Cresswell beginning to link up again… Fernandes adds another dimension and to think we had no Obiang! Nordvelt looks a decent squad player and needed that for his confidence today… Great away day (home for me these days!) and the “who’s the ****** with the drum songs” cracked me up… especially when I found him outside the ground, got a selfie with him and it turns out he is a Welsh family friend! Great for my boy to see us win away and give him some ammo towards his and my Jack friends… they might pipe down a bit now! #coyi

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, oh what fun it is to see West Ham win away!!! 🎅🏻
