Slaven Bilic made a surprise appearance at West Ham’s staff Christmas party last Thursday. Junior back office staff held their Christmas party at the Rocket restaurant in Canary Wharf in Docklands last week. Both manager Slaven Bilic and Vice Chairman Karren Brady made surprise appearances to thank staff for their hard over the past year.
Slaven remains a popular figure at West Ham and his gesture to personally thank junior staff was well received. No players were present at the Christmas party and Slaven Bilic and his backroom team left the event by 8pm.
Last week Bilic told reporters how he has cancelled the Christmas party for players and coaching staff until January or February. Bilic said: “I told my staff no Christmas party, we have a Christmas party in January or February. Let’s do the business, because I want to enjoy that night out. Now we can enjoy it more than a week ago, but I would like to properly enjoy it this year and I can’t.”
