Slav tight-lipped on Hernandez

|

Javier_-Chicharito-_Hernandez_vs_MLS_All_StarsSlaven Bilic has refused to comment on the news that the Hammers are in talks with Manchester United over a possible Javier Hernandez switch to Upton Park.

And that in itself is a significant indicator that the club is pressing ahead with negotiations as revealed by ClaretandHugh this week.

Addressing his first press conference since taking over as manager, Slav – when asked directly about the striker – said: ” “The fact is so far in my career, I have never talked about other players who are not part of West Ham United.

“We are trying to be active in the transfer window and so far the board have been very active in the transfer window.

“We are still trying to improve our squad and bring players who in my opinion and the club’s opinion can lift us up. We already have a good team but I will discuss it inside the club.”

Would really like to see us buy Austin, I think he’d be a great player in the mould of Dean Ashton or John Hartson. I think it’s important for us to keep a strong nucleus of British players.

I’m beginning to wonder who in the world would be a good enough signing Johnham. From watching CC and others who I genuinely can’t remember the names of how could Hernandez not be a good signing,he knows where the goal is and not being a physical giant is no longer a prerequisite to get in our team
