Slaven Bilic is probably on his own on this one – he’s glad to see the international break!
The manager though isn’t discussing a couple of injuries which have the rest of us sweating. Instead , wioth the first third of the season gne it gives him a much needed opportunity to look at every area of the team.
He said: “The international break has definitely come at a good time. I said to the boys, ‘Now, we have played a third of the season, we have to be happy with the way we are playing. We may have a few more points, maybe a few less, but we are in a good position.’”
Speaking to www.whufc.com he declared: “ This is the last international break for a long time; we face a difficult time with the winter coming.
“I told them (the players) to be proud so far and I expect them to come back hungry. We have a lot of games to do until the end of the season, we want to maintain this level but also improve, we know we can still improve.”
He continued: “We are going to work on and examine every area, tactics, physical side, medical things everything to make sure we are as good as we can be.
“We have shown that in parts so far, but not consistent enough. We are going to win games, and we are going to lose games. But if we keep our focus we will be a very hard team to beat.”
This WONDERFUL guy is REALLY impressing me.
I am beginning to wonder if by a combination of happenstance, luck – and something good we have all done in our childhood – we have managed to land the very best of the best …
