Slaven Bilic says he is fed up with specialists and physios telling him about once in a lifetime freak injuries. Speaking Kouyate and Lanzini yesterday in the pre-match Press conference he said both could be back for the away game against Newcastle but said if not maybe the Huddersfield home game on 11th September at the London Stadium.
Speaking to reporters yesterday Slav told them: “I am fed up about this, when specialists and physios tell you its an injury they have never seen in their life. It was one of the strangest ones I have ever seen. They come out of nothing, basically. It looked like nothing then after half hour, everything, bad bad. Thank god it’s not but he is a good healer and way ahead.
Cheikhou and Lanzini should be back, hopefully, after Southampton so maybe for Newcastle. If not, then straight after the international break.”
We have a long history of mistery injuries. Surely we should be looking at revamping the training systems and medical team.
Captain Awful played ( allegedly ) for much of last season with a double hernia. If he was having a great season ( haha I am rambling again ) dream on , I could perhaps understand them allowing him to play but as he was absolutely awful what on earth were they thinking of ???
