Slav’s exciting line up for Brighton

Image result for javier hernandez images west ham

Slaven Bilic is planning to put out probably his most attractive side so far this season when we go into action against Brighton and Hove Albion at the London Stadium this evening.

Everybody is describing this as a game we must win game and our early shout of the team suggests that we will be really giving it a go .

Once again skipper Mark Noble is understood to be missing from the team and along with the enforced absence of Andy Carroll we are told this is the team the manager will name:

Hart; Zabaleta, Reid, Fonte; Cresswell; Antonio, Koutaye, Obiang, Arnautovic, Lanzini, Chicharito.

Kouyate and Obiang are set to be employed as sitting midfielders with Lanzini acting as a 10 but getting a free role.

  1. Like many, cannot believe at least one of Martinez or Holland doesn’t get a run out with Carroll and Sakho injured. If ever there was a game to give youth a go!

  2. Very good , except for Hart . Adrian must be given playing time . He is every bit as good as Hart and maybe even better . If we lose Adrian for a rejected City / Toronto Keeper we shall only have ourselves to blame . Well , ourselves no , Bilic .
Still struggling to understand why we wanted or needed Hart .

  3. Praise The Lord! If this is the team Slav puts out, I for one will be delighted. You hit the nail on the head Hugh with observation about Carroll’s absence being enforced though. What is this obsession with him? Still, nothing succeeds like success and if a Carroll-less side scores a sack load of goals maybe Bilic will see the light, a bit like Van Gaal with Marcus Rashford… took an injury to get him a look in but when he got in the side, you couldn’t drop him. Still think Sakho could play a part for us and would love to see him with Hernandez. Anyway, let’s not be negative. Carroll de-selected himself with his own stupidity, let’s see what happens tonight. COYI!

    • Bilic being forced into team changes is nothing new . Formation follows and how to use the players has not been his strong point . Hopefully tonight we will see a decent side performance . But a win is really , really important . We need to start showing that the LS is our Home and not a big venue where opposition is over motivated . We must stamp our authority on our our home patch . It hasn’t happened yet and we are waiting .
Tonight we are expecting something special . Why shouldn’t we ..?

  4. If that is the team, who would Holland and Martinez replace? That which Hugh named is a very strong, experienced side. probably as near to full strength as we’ve been for ages. Now you want to drop two of our best players and put in two inexperienced kids in a “must win game”.
