Slav’s great expectations at Swansea

bilic_main_3437996b-large_transpjliwavx4cowfcaekesb3kvxit-lggwcwqwla_rxju8Slaven Bilic is calling for more fluidity and movement at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon.

He has been looking back at and reviewing the criticisms of the performance against Hull and has made his position clear on his expecations.

He told the official site: “A lot has been said about the performance against Hull in the last game and I’m hoping to see us more fluid with the ball and have more movement off the ball.

We need to take more responsibility. It has nothing to do with fitness, nothing to do with a game plan, but has a lot to do with the freedom in your head or in your legs of course.”

Again Slav says the right thing, we need to be more fluid and have better movement off the ball, these things are trained though and I see no evidence of that, as for the fitness he is just wrong, the other teams are fitter and more dynamic without the ball, I only watched highlights of today’s game but I saw our midfield looked pretty average without the ball they sat off again and if we had been up against a hungry team we would have been under pressure as it was though we were against a clueless team from what I could see and thank god they allowed us the space to create chances which we took well. I am glad we are getting away with it and winning playing not very well but I am still concerned that we lack bite in midfield, are not closing down players or pressing with much intent, we lack pace on the counter and again communication seems to be lacking. Apologies for negative view of a great score line and perhaps the highlights didn’t do us justice 3 points banked us great and hope we can repeat it against Leicester COYI!!!
