Slav’s verdict on Swansea win

|

BilicDelighted with the win – unhappy not to keep  a clean sheet – that was Slav’s response to the 4-1 win in Wales.

The manager said: “It was a shame to concede because it would have been nice to get three clean sheets in a row but it was a very good performance from us.

“We defended with numbers and aggression, and we were compact and close to each other. Even before we scored it looked like we were going to hurt them. I’m really pleased for the guys.”

He was  pleased to see Andre Ayew score on his return to the Liberty Stadium declaring:  “It is very pleasing. He came with a big price tag and got injured in his first game so it has not been easy for him.

Now he is coming back and is still not on top form – but the goal will help him. He is trying hard and is a great professional. His performances please me more than the goal.”
