West Ham are due to release their third kit early tomorrow morning.
The final, official photographs of the new shirt won’t be revealed until then, but a number of mock-ups have surfaced—and they appear to be identical to what we can expect to see.
It follows a lukewarm response to the Hammers’ mainly claret home kit and a slightly more enthusiastic reception for the white away shirt.
Once again, the kit is priced at a frankly ridiculous £70—but that’s par for the course these days.
From what I can gather, the third kit is black or navy blue, although it’s always tricky to confirm colours from grainy leaks. It seems to feature a yellow or gold trim.
It doesn’t look particularly ‘West Ham’, if I’m being honest. At first glance, it reminded me of an old Wimbledon kit. In fact, it got me wondering whether Fash the Bash or Vinnie Jones might get a game for us at the moment.
West Ham seem to have taken inspiration from the Dons?
There are rumours that the kit will include yellow socks and shorts, although I’ve not seen any confirmation on that yet—and I certainly don’t want to trigger anyone unnecessarily.
Suffice to say, I’d personally rather not see West Ham turning out in a yellow and black kit. That said, I’m unlikely to buy any of it anyway… I think the training gear looks much better. But if anyone did decide to take the plunge I think it would double up as a lovely referee’s shirt.
By far the worst set of kits we’ve ever produced – and I thought last years 2nd and 3rd kits were bad….
Weren’t these meant to celebrate 130 years of WHU?
Roll on New Balance (although I doubt I’ll buy them, as they don’t seem to do unsponsored versions of their kits).

We are claret and blue with white.
Not yellow, not orange or any other colour.

Someone forgot our colours are claret AND sky blue when they designed the home kit.
Sky blue shorts and socks should be worn with that very dull top. Burnley have a plain claret top trimmed with sky blue this season – but at least someone put sky blue socks in the players’ kit bags.
This new black one is the worst of the black or navy change shirts we’ll ever wear. It looks cheap as well as nasty.
I hoped there might be the turn of a sky blue away top this time, but alas….no.
At first I thought it was looking at Wolves away kit but then I realized it must be Hull City.

Cannot believe there wouldn’t be better designs coming from the fan base.
