Snoddy could come back to haunt Hammers

Former Hammer Robert Snodgrass could come back to haunt West Ham at the London Stadium on Tuesday night.

Declan Rice and John Terry were amongst those to reply to Robert Snodgrass’ Instagram as he helped West Brom to a win on his man of the match debut for the west midlands club.

West Bromwich Albion Announce New Signing

Sam Allardyce’s secured a win for the Baggies as they came from 2-1 down to beat Wolves 3-2 at Molineux on Saturday.

And Snodgrass was one of those to produce a great performance in the win. He won two aerial duels, made four successful tackles with no player on the pitch matching him.

West Brom Offical Twitter account paid tribute to the 33-yar-old by calling him  Robert SnodCLASS. What a performance from the debutant Robert Snodgrass”

Post-match Snoddy said “It’s a special day. I wish the fans had been there but they’ll enjoy this one I’m sure.”

Sam Allardyce said he had experience and leadership qualities which can prove vital for West Brom in the coming months.

“I hope he’s like Gary Speed for me at Bolton,” said Allardyce, who signed the then 34-year-old Speed from Newcastle in 2004.

It looks like Snodgrass is likely to line up against the Hammers on Tuesday night under the London Stadium lights and it’s a great shame there won’t be any fans there to give him the welcome back he deserves.

An even bigger shame that he has been unable to say farewell to the Hammers fans after a distinguished spell with the Hammers.

  1. Wish Snoddy all the best but not this Tuesday night !!!

  2. Could turn out to be Sam Allardyce’s Kevin Nolan for West Bromwich. Sam has done well at most of the clubs where he’s been in charge. Gary Speed was brilliant for him at Bolton. So too was Sammy Lee. Kevin Nolan at West Ham was a masterstroke. No Sammy Lee by then. Kevin is still showing his value and effect with us. Robert Snodgrass could well fit into the ‘masterstroke’ buy for WBA. Wish them all the very best. Might not begrudge them a win this week – as long as it doesn’t do us any harm. How I like them – Win Win.

  3. Is odd I would of kept him rest of season I like Snod especially in mid 3. He does work & great delivery. I think it’s nice that Moyes is honest with players who might now get much game time but letting them go with our thin squad Injuries & Covid. Snodgrass might not have pace but you know he will put in a shift. I get that Moyes likes a small tight squad & appreciate that but Snodgrass was a very good character.
Seeing links with Samson now & Lanzini going other way which I’d be ok with rather it be Yarmo but so far we’ve been lucky on injuries & COViD. If Rice Souček or Antonio are effected now we are in trouble.
