Robert Snodgrass has revealed that there is absolutely no problem between himself and Jack Sullivan!
Snodgrass is quoted in the Express as saying there are no bad vibes between him and the chairman’s son and that he he works with the co-owner’s son on a “day-to-day basis”.
A massive outcry began on social media after David Sullivan claimed his sones had begged him not to sign the Scot but the player said: “There has never been anything in terms of any sort of problem. I see the chairman’s son on a day-to-day basis. I am only here to play football.”
Jack is currently the managing director of the West Ham women’s team and Snoddy has this season returned from his Aston Villa loan spell two score two goals and create four more in his 15 league and cup appearances this season.
ClaretandHugh says: First and foremost it would have been far far better had David Sullivan kept his son’s thoughts on Snoddy out of the public arena – of that there can be no question whatsoever. However, the player’s response at the time – a simple ‘Thanks Mr Chairman’ demonstrated they were of little consequence to him and he simply went on to have an outstanding loan spell with Villa and returned to win over a large section of the Hammers fan base with his wholehearted displays in our claret and blue. All the situation demonstrated was that Snodgrass is a total pro and his words “I’m only here to play football” demonstrate perfectly that this is a guy who simply gets on with it and his attitude throughout and since the Sullivan snr comments have been credit to him. Oh that there were a few more like him in the game. Top man.
