  1. Come on …..Robert Snodgrass is not going to say he’s leaving to fan either before he’s had transfer talks, or an official club announcement has been made.

  2. OMG, I really worry about us at this stage. It would nto surprise me one bit if we go looking for Moyes mid season, signs are not promising with the number of average players being kept.

  3. Johnham are you a plant or for real

  4. He played well at Villa and has played well for the last few pre-season games. I realise the premier league will prove more testing, but if Pellegrini is prepared to give him a second chance, we should too. Pellegrini says he needs to build a squad, so maybe there’s a role for him. Saying that, when are we going to sound a solid, hard tackling midfield general?.

  6. johnham1 surely you’re kidding? last season we had a paper thin squad and could barely field at team at times through injuries, and so far we haven’t got rid of anyone but have 7 new bright and shiny players – what an earth are you getting your knickers in twist about? Surely it’s good to have a good “squad” of players in times of injuries and for cup runs, or perhaps you’re suggesting we change every single player?

  7. I think the Squad is good, but maybe we could do with a Christian Daily type player

  8. ****e ! No way is Snodgrass PL standard. Get rid of asap.

  9. OMG,stop worrying. Try being optimistic for a change. It’s much more enjoyable than permanently looking for things to depress yourself with. COYI.

  10. Are you for real Johnham, re read what you have written because it beggars belief! We have bought a lot of quality but this isn’t a one season job and we do need a squad of players. We have secured the best manager in our history, spent more than we ever have done and you are suggesting that by not getting rid of players that will be squad players, and leaving ourselves thin in numbers, we will be looking to replace MP with Moyes; thank god we have a professional managing the team and not you!

    • I beg to differ on your best manager in our history Jman… in my humble opinion the best manager in our history was John Lyall. I’ll be happy if Pelle is more successful in his tenure, he can then claim that title but until then, Johnny Lyalls Claret and Blue Army.

  11. Johnham1 has to be the most negative person on this forum. Mate – why always glass half empty? I honestly don’t think I’ve read a positive or uplifting comment from you….ever! Even if we signed Messi, on a free transfer, on £5 a week, you’ll bring the grumbling about something

  12. I’m buzzing about the season ahead btw!

  13. The boxing was Dillian White V Joseph Parker. Jermaine Defoe was there as well.

  14. Last year we had too few players – good or average – we have Fabianski to replace Joe Hart – plus 6 new players with Ginge having left. I think that is about right so we don’t have kids on the bench who are realistically not going to get onto the field

At this stage all players should be aiming to get into the 1st team – those who don’t could then look to leave in January (when over inflated prices are paid – see Jordan Hugill)

I think that it is OK to have average players on the bench in the mean time
