Moyes Antonio Alternative

|

Seemingly for the umpteenth time, West Ham are once again linked to the Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke. The player impressed in the seasons opener, and Moyes may view him as an alternative to Michail Antonio.

But this time, it appears that we have made a formal offer to The Cherries.

As we all know, David Moyes would like to sign a new striker this summer with Gianluca Scamacca finally departed to Atalanta.

Solanke: Moyes Antonio Alternative?

That is despite having Michail Antonio – who scored against Chelsea – currently leading the line with gusto and the likes of Danny Ings and Divin Mubama acting as backup.

Incidentally, for a man who is anxious to leave – I thought Antonio played his heart out!

Anyway , back to Solank. In his four-and-a-half years with the Cherries, he has scored 57 goals and 28 assists from his 176 appearances in all competitions.

Even though many of his strikes have come at Championship level, the 25-year-old has showed he could handle the step up to the Premier League with seven goals and eight assists from 35 games  since Bournemouth returned to the top flight last year.

We would have to spend between £35m and £40m to get him though (transfermarkt)

Let us not forget that Bournemouth are not a rich club and have shelled out in excess of £100m on eight new players this summer and recouped almost nothing back through player sales – so we could be in with a chance.
