Alex Song has admitted he has found a club he din’t know very well”but where things are going quite well.”

And the much discussed midfielder has admitted that his dream was an Arsenal return he was told he wasn’t wanted at the Emirates.

He told L’Equipe: “I would have liked to come back, but they didn’t want me. That’s life. I’m not mad at them. Cesc also wanted to come back to Arsenal, who did not want activate their buy-back clause. It was surprising. When I see what he is doing at Chelsea, he is even better than before!”

Haing been rejected by Arsenal where he played between 2005-12 he continued to make the Premier Leagu his priority despite offers from Napoli or Roma, I could have played in France too, with Marseille.”

Having named the interested clubs for the first time, he added: “My priority was to return to England. For me as well as my family. We like it here. I have found a club that I didn’t know very well but where things are going quite well.”
