Song could become a Saint

|

alex-song-west-ham (1)Southampton are being asked to cough up £8million to buy former Hammer Alex Song say the Sunday People today.

The Saints are considered the favourites to sign the Barcelona midfielder who has been told this week by boss Luis Enrique he is surplus to requirements next season.

Song, 27, who stood in as an ITV Champions League pundit last night still has one season remaining on his contract in Spain. Koeman sees him as an ideal replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin.

Song played in 28 league games plus 3 FA Cup games for West Ham during a season long loan. He was originally purchased by Barcelona in 2012 for £15m.

If they get the pre-xmas Song they have a bargain. If they get the post-xmas version they have been mugged 😉

We should offer £5 million now and no more and see what reaction we get,
Before we spend £8 million on another younger inexperienced player,
Same with Jenkinson offer £5 million and no more or move on to another player and don’t look back
Even without a manager we need to start putting the squad together with Europe starting early

£5 mil. for Song it would be a bargain… Under the right manager Song could be another player. personal opinion.

Yep agreed bubs,Tony Henry should be busy atm i suspect sorting out some signings.Song is a real enigma,so good when he wants to be,i think he is just too laidback as a person & doesnt have that real desire to put in the effort to be as good as he could be 😉

After his performance as a Pundit on ITV’s coverage of the Champions League Final I think his Punditry career may be short lived – what were ITV thinking?

  • bubs says:
