Soucek on the scoresheet

Tomas Soucek hit the back of the net for the Czech Republic on Thursday evening as three Hammers helped their country thump Kuwait in an international friendly.

The Hammer scored the fourth goal in the 7-0 rout, with Vlad Coufal also starting the match and Alex Kral coming off the bench in the second half.

Soucek captained his country in the game and scored his eighth international goal in total, as his country prepare to take on Estonia in a World Cup qualifier next week.

Elsewhere, Andriy Yarmolenko played for Ukraine as they drew 1-1 with Bulgaria in a friendly.

Pablo Fornals also made an appearance for Spain, coming off the bench in the 1-0 win over Greece that ensured their qualification for Qatar 2022.

Nikola Vlasic was another substitute, coming on in the 7-1 win over Malta, a result that means his country face a huge qualifier against Russia this weekend.

If Croatia win it, they would top Group H, leapfrogging Russia, and qualifying for Qatar.
