West Ham’s new signing Tomas Soucek has been pictured at the London Stadium confirming his transfer to the Hammers.
The Slavia Prague chairman Jaroslav Tvrdik has confirmed the transfer of Tomas Soucek to West Ham for a €4.5m loan fee and additional €16.2m to make the deal permanent if West Ham stay in the Premier League.
The Slavia Prague Chairman posted the photo on Twitter saying “Signed! €4.5m plus €16.2m plus other add-ons. Excited and sad at the same time. We will miss Tomas as a captain, a player and a man. It will be hard to replace him. It is a great business for Slavia Prague and Czech football! I also thank Pavel Pasek, an absolute professional. Great personal satisfaction!”
Brighton had tried to come in to hijack the deal earlier this week but West Ham were forced to increase their offer by £200,000 to get the deal over the line.
Soucek has scored 10 goals in 19 appearances for Slavia this season.
Pleased to see a transfer actually completed albeit a loan deal!
Need a few more to avoid relegation.
Which one is he?
Let’s hope we think the same as Jaraslave come the middle of May.
Just good to see a new face rather than an old tired one pitching up at the Hammers.
If we can now get a decent striker and right back in then 13th place finish here we come !
Hope Tomas is the one on the left …
That is funny 🙂
As I thought, it’s a loan deal, /€4.5m desperate gamble, no other way we can do it. If we stay up, he stays(hopefully) if we go down, he goes somewhere else. Let’s hope he can make an immediate impact
This could be a win win to be fair. The lad will want to impress to either secure a permanent move to us or if we go down a dream move to the PL
