West Ham United are reportedly very interested in signing Colombian midfielder Richard Rios from Brazilian club Palmeiras, according to exWHUemployee. Intriguingly, Rios is a teammate and friend of Hammers target and compatriot Jhon Duran.
The Hammers are still on the lookout for midfield reinforcements and have identified the 24-year-old as a potential transfer target. Rios impressed during the Copa America, showcasing his talent and versatility in the middle of the park. Presumably this follows on from the Iron’s failure to progress interest in, amongst others, Youssouf Fofana.
However, West Ham face competition from several other clubs, including Everton, Leicester City, and Manchester United, for the signature of the highly-rated midfielder. Palmeiras are expected to demand a significant fee for Rios, who is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabian clubs.
The 6ft 1in midfielder has a reputation as having a thunderous shot but is also adept in all areas of the game and would be considered an upgrade on Tomas Soucek who may struggle under Julen Lopetegui’s style of football.
With the transfer window closing at the end of the month, West Ham will need to act quickly to secure their targets and strengthen their squad for the new season.
The addition of Rios would provide the Irons with a talented and versatile midfielder, capable of playing in a number of different roles. However, the club will need to overcome competition from other clubs and meet Palmeiras’ valuation in order to secure his services.
I would prefer yousef fofana from Monaco and then get todibo from nice for a combined Β£55m
So would I but both want to go to Italy, so doubtful.
Is this the 1750th player we have been linked with in this transfer window, are we going from the oldest but smallest squad in the Premier league to the youngest and largest sqaud. πππππ Seriously sullivan is tighter than my arse and you can’t get a threepenny bit close.
Too much information! But now we know why your name is Pongo. π€£
Lol – you originally said he was Brazilian and then Took it out the title π
Were you an English teacher in a previous life?
There’s a big difference between getting the wrong nationality and a grammar mistake. But then you would know that, as it only took you one word to get the grammar wrong in your article yesterday. ππ»
As did you in your ‘comment’ yesterday. I chose not to pick up on it, for I have a life.
Well Simon regularly tends to post articles before checking what he has written, hence the reason I tend to believe the things Gonzo writes, but very rarely pay any attention to what Simon writes. If he were to change the way he posts then I might give him a 4th try, as I’ve already given him a 2nd and 3rd chance. He seems to be in such a rush to post articles and he also posts too many. Less articles and more accuracy would be so much more beneficial to C&H and it’s readers. He also seems to copy and paste a lot and post articles that are extremely similar to others, and even then he doesn’t check any of those facts either. So a little more thought and due diligence would mean that he doesn’t constantly get pulled up on silly mistakes.COYI
Donβt know anything about this guy tbh.
Soler at PSG is available for Β£15m though and Iβm sure J-Lo can entice him as theyβre both Spanish.
