Soucek loan extension should be no issue

|

Tomas Soucek

Football clubs, agents and lawyers are examining the legal situation of players who are out of contract on 30th June.

West Ham have three players out of contract this summer with Pablo Zabaleta, Carlos Sanchez and Tomas Soucek.

Carlos Sanchez has not featured in the first team so if not an issue and Pablo Zabaleta should also be surplus to requirements with Jeremy Ngakia and Ben Johnson available plus Ryan Fredericks is subject to be ready to be fit and recovered from injury by then.

Technically Tomas Soucek loan deal finishes on 30th June with an obligation to buy but only if West Ham are playing in the Premier League next season.

The Premier League are hoping to resume fixtures behind closed doors on 1st June but is unlikely to finished by 30th June.

Claret and Hugh understand that Soucek, his representatives, his parent club and West Ham are all happy in principle to extend the terms of the loan to complete the season.
