Spanish club want Hammers target

|

Villarreal are interested in doing a deal for Blackburn Rovers star Ben Brereton Diaz, according to The Sun.

The newspaper reports that the Spanish club are ready to wait until the summer to sign the Chile international on a free transfer.

His contract expires at the end of the season and he has been in excellent form thus far this season, even scoring in Blackburn’s penalty shootout win over the Irons in the EFL Cup last week.

The Irons are interested in signing Brereton Diaz and could even table a bid in January as they look to offer Blackburn the chance to cash in, as opposed to losing him for nothing in the summer.

The Sun reports that Blackburn are hopeful of keeping Brereton Diaz until the end of the season, at least, and want him to aid their promotion bid.

They are currently third in the Championship and the player is said to be willing to wait until the summer to see what offers come rolling in.
