Spot the Hammers crest!

Eagle-eyed West Ham supporters have spotted a piece of history lurking in the latest West Ham season 2020/2021 squad photo.

If you zoom in between Alphonse Areola and Lukasz Fabianski or Vladimir Coufal and Areloa you will see the old West Ham castle crest hiding in the background.

Was this a hidden message to appease fans of the old crest?, a sneeky spot the crest competition or just the just use of old chairs for players in the back row to stand on?

Answers on a postcard with a stamp if they still exist!

The most recent change of the crest was made in 2016 to mark the move to the London Stadium.

The crest secretly featured on the chair within this photo was introduced in 1999 featuring a yellow Boleyn castle with crossed Hammers on a dark shield in a blue outline features a ribbon with white lettering underneath saying West Ham United.
