Report: Spurs eye Hammers striker target

|

Spurs are reported to be ready to battle the Hammers for the signature of Blackburn Rovers striker  Ben Brereton Diaz.

That’s according to HITC (h/t Football.London) who appear to suggest that the north London club see him as a back up to Harry Kane.

Given that he is also seen by the Hammers as a possible back up to Michail Antonio the player could have a tricky decision to make on whether to leave the north west at all.

Leeds United are also pursuing the front man and they appear to be a choice the guy could make if he is looking for serious game time.

However,  Blackburn have activated a one-year option in the striker’s contract extending his stay until 2023 in the process, according to BBC via Football.London.

That, however, may well have been done in order to ensure that they got some sort of fee for a player who has been linked with a move away from Rovers for several months.
