Spurs fans could face investigation

Spurs supporters and their fan could find themselves in bother for using a racial slur on mass at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The north London fans were filmed chanting the chant ‘No noise from the Pikey boys’ directed at West Ham supporters on the Stadium concourse as they tried to break through the security door.

The word Pikey is an actual racist term for gypsies or Irish travellers (as defined by the Equality Act). It’s use, in a pejorative way, is a racial hate crime.

The Tottenham  supporters continue to use the chant ‘Yid army’ even though  the FA has issued a statement warning fans that those caught using the term “Yid” are liable for criminal prosecution and a Football Banning Order.

If West Ham supporters were filmed using racial slurs they were surely be banned, the club fined and make the headlines but when it is Tottenham so one seems to mind.
