Spurs hit form ahead of Hammers clash

Tottenham Hotspur have warmed up for an all London derby against West Ham with a Harry Kane inspired victory against champions Manchester City.

The Hammers face out of form Chelsea at the London Stadium this coming Saturday, closely followed by an away trip to Spurs the following weekend. Tottenham had endured a patchy January with manager Antonio Conte once again publicly criticising the depth of his own playing squad.

A draw against Brentford as well as defeats to Arsenal and Aston Villa had put pressure on the Italian manager, as their top four hopes dwindled.

However back to back Premier League victories as well as the Hammers denying Newcastle points has left the North London club just one point behind Eddie Howe’s Toon team.

David Moyes will be looking to get at least two points from the next two fixtures. But with Kane and Conte now getting their mojo back it may well prove to be a tougher fixture than the Chelsea encounter.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.
