Tottenham have reportedly placed a deadline on a potential transfer for Mohammed Kudus.
According to a new report from Football.London, Spurs will pull out of the deal if Kudus isn’t signed before July 27th.
Tottenham are due to fly out to South Korea at the end of the month, and new manager Thomas Frank has made it clear he wants all transfer business completed before the tour.
There remains a significant gap in valuation between the two clubs. West Ham are holding out for £65 million, while Spurs value Kudus closer to £50 million.
While West Ham bosses have not officially confirmed that their transfer market inactivity is tied to the sale of Kudus, it’s hard not to conclude otherwise. The club simply cannot afford to wait until July 27th to start signing players.
Dealing with Daniel Levy was never going to be easy—and so it has proved. Reports suggest Kudus is keen on a move to Spurs, but West Ham cannot afford to be pushed around. If no suitable bid arrives, the club must be prepared to keep him.
You also have to wonder what manager Graham Potter makes of all this. With his squad still thin and the window ticking on, it’s beginning to feel like Tottenham are dictating West Ham’s entire summer strategy—and that’s unacceptable.
Kudus to Saudi’s for £100m although he doesn’t want to be there.
Then follow in Duran’s footsteps and get transferred to a club that he wants.
Why can’t we wait until 27th July most of whu business is left to the eleventh hour?
Don’t need to make it common knowledge but couldn’t board’s £90m be made available now and paid back when outgoings players cash comes in?
Oh dear.
Just 55 million
Don’t worry chaps remember the owners are prepared to inject £90million for transfers is player not sold…..Its true Sullivan has said it so it must be true!…..Potter whether you like him or loathe him should just walk away now he has seen up close what a circus of a club we are.
I’d prefer we didn’t deal with Spurs but needs must.
It’s just amazing to see Sully get a little of his own medicine in dealing with Levy.
We have been on the wrong end of every deal with Spurs since they got Peters and we got Greaves. I would sooner take £40m from anyone else rather than £65m from them. I hope Sullivan realises he will wear all the flak and no amount of ‘Kudus only wants Spurs’ will deflect it.
Dodge this bullet. Hes not even worth 30million. Anyway Spurs wont sign him before Mbeumo signs for Utd. Hes their first choice.
Tell spurs to do one if they want Kudis pay up or go
They should tell spurs go and do one cough up the 65mill what they vaule him at as they ani’t that desperate to sell him as they make out to be
keep him, maybe his 3rd season will better his first potter needs to find away to get the best out of him thats what hes paid for
What i the significance of July 27th?
its says it in the statement . its when spurs go to Korea on tour and Frank wants all buisness completed by then
Well I met my wife on that day in ’74.!!
What is the significance of Spurs?!
Levy is killing spurs it is now hard to be a spurs fan Levy is taking this club down he talks about winning the league and champions league how the hell can that happen with him at the helm I do feel sorry for Frank I think the best thing he should do is walk away before the season starts how can you support a club when it’s chairman has no interest
This is what happens when the club is run so poorly. Circumstances arise that spiral downwards rather than upwards. If things are done poorly there are always consequences of it. I’m sort of passed becoming invested in it this window, I’m not expecting things to be done other than poorly as that’s what always happens.
He’s a West Ham player under contract, so unless they pay the required price, tell Spurs to get lost, and tell Kudus to get his boots on and start training.
Can’t believe a club valued in Europe’s top 20, can’t spend that money before he’s sold.
Pay up or we keep him. If he has a good first half of the season maybe he plays himself into a January move to a proper champions league team who won’t be knocked out at the league stage.
Always getting bullied by spurs
Spurs can jog in if they don’t pay , who are they to dictate to us . Either that or Kudus might need to accept an offer from elsewhere
This is obviously what would happen announcing to the world we have to sell before we can buy. Buying clubs will wait and wait ramping up the pressure on low bids.
It’s worse that the club claimed funding was available without sales which is clearly not true.
Shambles.
Amateur
Depressing
Get the owners to a bit of money in each keep kudos and tell spurs where to go we have some good youngsters so don’t need many signings
