Spurs, Villa and Liverpool offer big points chances

Three rough Premier League games face the Hammers before the next international break but they could easily define our season.

It’s Spurs next weekend who cruised past a very poor Newcastle side this afternoon to take fifth place on 15 points  – one more than us in seventh.

Following that we travel to the midlands for a game against Villa who are currently in 12th place with 10 points and that’s followed by Liverpool at the London Stadium .

Given the resiliency of this Hammers team no match scares me anymore and with wins on the road at Newcastle, Leeds and Everton this is of course a very very different team to the Irons we have become used to watching.

So a total of seven points from those three games would be no surprise  to me ans Spurs are the first I believe we will beat.

Villa are decent but again – such is the composure and style of the Hammers I can see us getting yet another result on the road and I see no reason why we can’t repeat the draw we had against Liverpool at home last season.

We saw this afternoon West Ham are no soft touch anymore and to go into the international break on 21 points will do us very nicely indeed.

If we can squeeze a win over Man City in the fourth round Carabao Cup match life will be looking vey good indeed.
