Stats show 100 per cent Hammers success

West Ham meet Bristol City this afternoon in the third round of the FA Cup and the encouraging stats show 100 per cent success !

We have won both of our FA Cup meetings with Bristol City,  3-2 in January 1969 and 1-0 in January 2015.

Bristol City are without a win in their past 11 meetings with West Ham in all competitions (D5 L6). They most recently suffered a 1-0 defeat by the Hammers in the FA Cup fourth round in 2014-15.

The Hammers have reached at least the fourth round of the FA Cup in each of their past six campaigns, last doing so in seven consecutive seasons between 2000-01 and 2006-07.

Bristol City have progressed from just one of their past 15 FA Cup ties against Premier League opposition, beating Huddersfield Town 1-0 in the third round in 2018-19.

Hammers manager David Moyes has never lost against Bristol City (W3 D1). This will be his first meeting with the Robins since a 2-2 draw with Everton in the 2004-05 League Cup, when the Toffees won 4-3 on penalties.
