With Niclas Fullkrug quite possibly leaving the club in January, West Ham United’s urgent need for a front line striker in January could not be clearer: The only two remaining at the club are both out off contract at the end of season –Michail Antonio 34 and Danny Ings 31 are hardly striking fear into Premier League defenders.

Enter Randal Kolo Muani, according to ‘footballtransfers.com’.

Apparently “The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker is enduring a poor time in Paris St Germain under Luis Enrique, who has been granted greater jurisdiction over transfers since the summer. Paris Saint-Germain will offer Randal Kolo Muani out to clubs on a loan basis in the January window and Newcastle and West Ham are the clubs most receptive to any such deal”.

Kolo Muani was signed by PSG for [gasp-MT] €95 million after a stellar World Cup in Qatar as well as scoring 26 goals and registering 17 assists in 50 games overall for Frankfurt.

Now PSG are looking to move the player on in the hopes of sealing a permanent move for him in the summer, which is why an option-to-buy or an obligation clause has been mooted.

A ninety five million striker at West Ham? Even on a season long loan – that’ll be the day. I’ll bet he’s earning more in a week than some of our players get paid in a month.

£95 million – That’s two Jhon Durans. Another story to take with a big pinch of salt.
