Yuri Alberto
He’s off again
Technical director Tim Steidten that is.
This time to Brazil to apparently sign Yuri Alberto from Corinthians in a breathtaking last tilt at the transfer market.
The Hammers have revealed to Claret and Hugh that they are not finished in the window yet so this may be their latest move.
According to various reports from the Brazilian media, we initiated discussions way back in June for the 34 goal centre forward but nothing came of it , so something must have happened in the last 24 hours to necessitate Tim Steidten dusting off his passport again.
The 22 year old he has a market value of about £15m according to transfermarkt. And don’t forget we still have some money left after the sales of Rice and Scamacca .
If this is not just paper talk – I doubt that Steidten is going to Brazil just for the duty-free. But if this is really true, we are going to finish the transfer window with an almighty bang !
I think a part exchange involving Youssef En-Nesyri and Pablo Fornalls is the most likely to happen. Fornalls only has a year left on hist contract so I don’t think we’ll let him walk away for nothing next year
This sounds like decent signing, a bit of a gamble. I’d prefer Etike from PSG, but he fits the age profile and Tim has the skill set In Identifying talent
With only one cap as a sub would Yuri Alberto qualify for a work permit ?
