Key man Steidten on scene again as Bowen signs

|

It seems highly significant that it was technical director Tim Steidten who was pictured with Jarrod Bowen on the official website after the No 20 agreed a new £6.5 deal with the Hammers.

The impact the German has made since his arrival at the club should not  be underestimated and he has become a key figure as we move forward into an increasingly bright new era.

He was pictured with Edson Alvarez after he had signed for the club, persuaded yesterday’s hero Mo Kudus to join  with much interest coming from elsewhere and is now the man chosen to appear alongside Jarrod at an incredibly important moment of his and Hammers history.

Yes, David Moyes has decided whom he wanted this summer but one wonders whether it would all have happened so quickly – given past windows – had Steidten not been involved.

So many good things have happened in the last few weeks it is almost impossible to keep up but one thing I can say which I never believed would even be in my mind is that:

I am glad given all we have seen since – and no disrespect to him whatsoever – I’m pleased Dec moved on!
