Steidten Pictured In Secret Meeting, Surely With Lopetegui’s Successor

Image for Steidten Pictured In Secret Meeting, Surely With Lopetegui’s Successor

Finally, it could have been handled better, it could have been done weeks and weeks ago. But it would seem that Julen Lopetegui’s days at West Ham are over. The chaotic football of the Spanish head coach has been matched by the chaotic manner of his exit as talksport.com first broke the news that we’d been hinting and edging towards all day.

All of the opportunities that the club has had to manage the transition seem to have been wasted as the Steidten / Lopetegui feud grew and was reported earlier today.

Now we just await an official announcement from the club with the dreaded ‘corner flag’ picture than normally accompanies news of firings.

And the image you want to see showing Tim Steidten in a clandestine meeting with Lopetegui’s likely successor needs no words.

Now we’re just waiting for confirmation of what you can clearly see to be a cozy meet between Tim Steidten and Graham Potter – just on the off chance that it’s an old image, don’t go celebrating or commiserating until the official announcement is made: Of course, at Claret and Hugh we’ll try and give you a heads up as soon as the West Ham PR machine cranks into life.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Potter to West Brom looks like the Baggies are offering him a proper contract.

Not exactly secret is it, when you have someone else in there taking photos. Or maybe they had the camera set on a timer…..this is just unbelievable 😆

I think we all know who needs to go and hopefully before his other sons on the board.
How many football chairman are known to football fans in general I cannot think of any other chairman other than Levy.
To even suggest he is a West Ham fan can’t be true he is destroying the club and becoming richer doing it.

Believe it when I see it

I saw that photo on X. What a pity that we have all the cloak and dagger leaks. Just an announcement of we wish the outgoing manager well please welcome the new one in an official announcement would be far more decorous.

I’d like to see the club run far more professionally overall not just in this particular respect.

Only at West Ham do all the social media and sports news channels find out the manager is going to be sacked before the manager finds out themselves. What a respectful professional outfit.

Hopefully not fake news, would be nice to see some positivity around the club. We know Potter brings youth through, we have Scarles, Potts, Earthy, Orford, Guillherme and others.

If he can get Paqueta playing and Soler maybe our forwards will start getting some supply, goodness knows what he can do with our CDM’s and defence.
