Steidten power explained

It has been believed for a long time that technical director Tim Steidten is the power behind the Hammers recruitment team along with David Sullivan. Now that appears to have been confirmed by Mark Noble, Steidten was obsessive about bringing Mo Kudus to the club and made that clear to the main shareholder and manager soon after his arrival.

It is well known that when given the go ahead he managed to convince the Ghana international that there would be room for him and Lucas Paqueta in the same team after the player had made a point of the issue. But Mark has made it clear that the technical director had the No 14 on his mind from the minute he was appointed and has since become Sullivan’s No 2 having helped him to sign Jarrod Bowen to a seven year deal.

Now Nobes has revealed more of the power Steidten has at the club with his comments on the Kudus deal.AFC Bournemouth v West Ham United - Premier League

Speaking on TNT Sports Discovery Plus during the win over Man United Noble revealed the German was insisting on spelling out his Kudus hopes.

Noble said: “We knew what Mo could do when we brought him to the club, he’s a fantastic player. When Tim came to the club we spoke in depth about Kudus and he knew what he could do. We didn’t actually think he was going to be as good as what he is at the minute because it’s quite hard to hit the ground running in the Premier League as a lot of teams are finding. But the three of them (Kudus, Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta) are top, top (drawer).”

Top man. With most of the players at the Hammers, we should be kicking ass every match! Not happening though. WHY?
Steiden has done his job for the time being. Who hasnt?
