Tim Steidten wants to plunder Leverkusen star man
West Ham United are closely monitoring Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface. The 22-year-old has showcased outstanding form this season, scoring 11 goals across all competitions and contributing six assists.
Hammers’ Director of Football, Tim Steidten, is familiar with the player, having identified him for the German club before his transfer to West Ham. With Boniface in the attack, Leverkusen became the first club to score fifty goals in Europe this season.
Leverkusen currently sit at the top of the Bundesliga having not lost so far this season. They are above Bayern Munich with a team built with Steidten’s signings and managerial choice in Xabi Alonso.
The Nigerian striker presents a significant upgrade over Danny Ings at West Ham, despite his contentment in the Bundesliga. The current season has seen Michail Antonio struggle to provide sufficient goals for West Ham, resulting in the team relying heavily on goals from other positions.
Moyes says no.
At last a more balanced view. I was beginning to think C&H was just a Moyes knocking shop!
Thought WH needed more home grown players?
