The Hammers under 23s are today travelling to the north west for a clash with Premier League Division One match against third placed Everton.

The Irons are on a run of four games without a win and are currently third off bottom although there are reasons.

They have been beaten by Brighton and Chelsea in the League and suffered reverses at Bristol Rovers and Exeter in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Injuries have ruled out key players whilst others are on duty with the first team squad so are unavailable so they face a very tough task indeed against the Toffees U23s at Southport FC (7pm kick off).

They will be without Nathan Holland (injured), Conor Coventry, Olanjunji Akinola, Vashon Neufville, Dan Kemp, Anthony Scully, Jaal Hector-Ingram, Josh Pask and Zande Silva, Joe Powell and Grady Diangan (pictured above).

Apart from the injuries the team has lost Diangana, Powell and Coventry with  manager Manuel Pellegrini wanting them with the first team ahead of the match at Brighton on Friday.
